Gestalt Movement & Myotherapy is committed to implementing and promoting a Privacy Policy that ensures the privacy and security of your personal information. We operate in strict accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), Health Records Act 2001 (Vic).

​Where your data lives (Encrypted Storage) To ensure the highest level of security, Gestalt Movement & Myotherapy utilizes professional, industry-standard practice management software.

We collect, maintain, and use your personal information primarily to provide you with clinical advice and myotherapy services. We may also use this information for purposes directly related to your care, such as clinic administration, service planning, and internal research to improve our treatment outcomes

Scope of Practice
Gestalt Movement & Myotherapy therapists are qualified professionals and held to the highest standards of various Australian Professional Associations.

Myotherapy is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client. Scope of practice includes exercise prescription .
​
Our therapists do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions. Our therapists may refer you to a medical doctor for diagnosis or treatment.
Our services are not intended as an alternative for proper medical attention for specific conditions.

Please refer to a medical doctor for any specific condition which requires medical treatment.

Full Cancellation / No show Policy
​All appointments that are requiring moving or cancellation should be done so 48 hrs in advance. Gestalt Movement & Myotherapy reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of no more than the cost of the appointment.
If you are running late for an appointment, depending on therapist availability, you may be only able to receive the outstanding time of your appointment for treatment.

​Please understand we are a small business and late cancellations can have negative impact. We strive to bring you the highest quality services.

We understand that sometimes life gets crazy and that things pop up last minute. That’s why the first time it happens we are happy to waive this fee.

Consent
​You understand that your proposed treatment plan and aftercare advice will be discussed with you.
​
You understand that Myotherapy uses a range of modalities including deep massage, dry needling, cupping, heat and cold therapy and movement based therapy.
​
You understand there may be tenderness for several days following a Myotherapy treatment and that this is normal.
​
To your knowledge you have no health concerns or uncontrolled medical condition that would affect your ability to receive Myotherapy care.
